The National Living Wage (NLW)will be increasing by almost 5% for those people aged over 25 as of 1st April 2019, in the UK. There will also be an increase made to the National Minimum Wage(NMW), with the following rates being implemented per hour from 1st April 2019 by category as follows:
Apprentice: £3.90
School Leaving Age to 17: £4.35
18 – 20 years: £6.15
21 – 24 years: £7.70
25+ years: £8.21
