This full-service commercial law firm wish to hire a Legal Cashier all-rounder to provide full legal financial compliance support to the Finance team.

• Salary up to 35k DOE
• Hybrid Working (3 days office, 2 remote)
• London Bridge

The Legal Cashier will work directly with the Cashier Manager and a small finance busy team. The Legal Cashier will primarily focus on client and office account cashiering as well as support to the wider teams, using the 3e system. The Finance team are a busy close-knit group, highly organised and proactive and require someone who is a team player and able to assist with wider duties and busy times such as month / year end.  They and are keen to consider a Legal Cashier with a strong knowledge of VAT and Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance who able to work to multiple deadlines and case completions.

Legal Cashier Responsibilities include:

• Assist the Cashier Manager with the investigational and transactional processes in ensuring residual balances are dealt with promptly
• Assist the team in ensuring the receipt portal is kept up to date and unclaimed funds are investigated and marked for return where necessary
• Support the Cashier Manager in managing the charity ledger, liaising with the Fee Earners to ensure the correct process has been followed and the right documentation has been supplied
• Assist with SRA accounts rules compliance and process monitoring

Legal Cashier Requirements include:

• Minimum 12 months experience as a Legal Cashiers within a law firm
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Confident working knowledge of SAR and VAT regulations
