This new HR Advisor position is to cover the generalist scope, and you will be directly working with the Senior HR Manager of the HR team in addition to the wider team, needing someone confident who has strong experience in contributing and adding real value to their HR team.

 

HR Advisor duties will include:

  • Assisting the Senior HR Manager and HR Manager with hiring business professionals and paralegals
  • Producing and sending the monthly London Headcount Report and weekly London Lawyer Movements report
  • Supporting the HR Manager to manage the associate review process, organising emails to be sent from Comp Chair and other Committee members, keeping the process on track and liaising with Legal Secretaries with queries regarding timings, scheduling and coordination of paperwork.
  • Taking ownership for GDPR requirements of HR files and sensitive data. Ensuring line managers are also aware of their duties in relation to the deletion of data within the appropriate time frames
  • Ad hoc new hire induction meetings for lawyers and business professionals
  • Assisting the HR Manager and DOA with space planning and processing office moves
  • Liaising with the Benefits and Wellbeing Manager on day-to-day business professional well-being concerns
  • Assisting with the July salary review for business professionals: arranging and attending meetings with the Senior HR Manager and line managers across London, Europe and the US, answering queries
  • Processing the annual business professionals appraisal process; ensuring self-appraisals and supervisor appraisals are completed on time and answering queries in relation to the process, ensuring the Performance Management system is up to date
  • Liaising with line managers on first line employee relations issues and ensuring coordination with appropriate resources and escalation to appropriate managers

 

HR Advisor requirements:

  • Solid experience of working in a Human Resources environment.
  • The ability and experience to conduct recruitment interviews.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels and with potential recruits.
  • Ability to take the lead on agency conversation and fact finding missions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a team environment with a client service focus.
  • Ability to use initiative and be creative, adaptable and flexible.
  • Show drive and commitment to the role.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
