Financial Accountant – London Law Firm – Hybrid Working – Chancery Lane

We are currently working with a leading London based commercial law firm who are keen to bring on board a commercially minded Financial Accountant to support their Head of Finance with firmwide financial performance.

 

  • Salary £65,000 – £75,000
  • Hybrid Working – 3 Days Office / 2 Remote
  • Chancery Lane

 

They are keen to hire a qualified / part qualified Management Accountant with strong financial analytical and SRA knowledge to work on a mix of projects, take the lead on all cash management and preparation of management accounts whilst liaising with auditors and tax advisors. This is a fairly autonomous position and the incoming Financial Accountant will have the opportunity to grow into the role and support the newly promoted Head of Finance with a range or tasks and be able to lead on firmwide projects whilst acting as their ‘Number 2’.

 

Financial Accountant responsibilities include;

 

  • P&L forecasts, cash forecasts and updates
  • Statutory financial statements and audit adjustments.
  • Oversee annual income and costs budgets
  • Quarterly Financial Covenants tests to the bank.
  • Supporting the COFA with the SRA and Statutory LLP audits
  • Preparation of Partner drawings schedules and calculating quarterly commission payments
  • Review of the monthly Balance Sheet & bank reconciliations
  • Monthly update of Fee Earner and Support staff headcount listings
  • Managing the Partner’s Capital requirements; liaising with the bank, application for new or increased capital as required.
  • Finance analysis and valuation of WIP & Aged Debts

 

Financial Accountant requirements;

 

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a busy Finance department in a law firm
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and SQL
  • Full SRA, VAT & AML knowledge
  • Experience of running numerous financial based projects
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
