The Business Development Executive will provide support to the Business Development Manager in the development and execution of Technology, Consumer and Sports divisions business and marketing plans and to help in the identification and creation of opportunities to win new business.

 

Business Development Executive Key Responsibilities include;

 

  • Support with the creation and management of credentials, including the credentials database and matter management.
  • Support with the creation of credentials statements and draft pitches, both formal and informal, and leading where appropriate.
  • Assist with client focused research and wider industry horizon scanning research. This includes ad hoc desk research on markets, sectors, industries, organisations and individuals of relevance to specific business development initiatives
  • Support the development of InterAction (e.g. mailing list cleansing) and being a ‘champion’ within the rest of the firm
  • Provide assistance with the pitching process, including statements of experience, client quotes/testimonials, basic research, organising meetings, partner and fee earner biographies and core factual/policy information
  • Responsible for maintenance of departmental materials and case studies for pitch database
  • Create brochures, team sheets and other client facing materials
  • Produce, distribute, analyse and report on digital newsletters, legal updates and other direct mailings
  • Coordinate and produce relevant regular reports, working together with the Business Development team

 

Business Development Executive Requirements;

 

  • Degree and / or CIM educated
  • Previous marketing and / or business development experience working in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Demonstrable interest in sports and technology
  • Some knowledge of CRM systems (preferably InterAction)
  • IT savvy and computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
