This ambitious and rapidly expanding US law firm is offering a unique and newly created opportunity for a Billing Assistant to support the Revenue team on all billing matters for the London office.

 

  • Salary 30-40k DOE, plus attractive benefits package including a well-being monthly allowance
  • Full-time office based, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • Located in ultra-modern offices in Mayfair

 

The firm wish to hire an ambitious Billing Assistant who is driven to advance their career and commit to being part of an exciting growth period for the firm. The London office has acquired new senior Partners to spearhead the firm’s growth outside of the US and have impressive plans to hire across all their London practices and business groups in 2025 and beyond. The Billing Assistant will have hands on exposure from the start, directly supporting the Revenue Manager and Finance Director, in a collaborative Finance team of 8 (including this hire).

 

Billing Assistant Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support all London Partners with raising bills & ebills and monitor / reduce WIP
  • Research, identify and take necessary steps to resolve obstacles to prompt, high quality billing that is compliant with SRA guidelines
  • Work closely with Partners, London accounts team, legal and support staff to resolve any issues such as process transfers, write-offs, adjustments and narrative amendments
  • Take instructions on special billing and payment arrangements with Partners for key clients and timely follow-up according to established schedules
  • Assist with finance related projects and contribute to the efforts to improve the overall performance and service levels of the London finance team

 

Billing Assistant Key Requirements:

 

  • Possess a minimum of 6 months current billing or accounts experience working for an international City law firm
  • Strong academics
  • Possess a First-class customer service and flexible approach, with a keen willingness to learn and develop
  • Preferably have current working knowledge of Aderant however necessary training will be provided
  • Demonstrate ambition to succeed and able to commit to working full time in an office environment
