Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the US and has more recently has been observed in the UK and #BlackLivesMatter protests around the world in 2020 have highlighted a commitment among many individuals and organisations to educate themselves about Black history, heritage and culture – as part of understanding racism and standing in solidarity against it.
Black History Month is a time for everyone to learn lessons for both our present and our future, to come together and hope for a better shared history together in the future.
